Joe Stevens, digital:works Participation Worker, said; “The website will, along with keeping everyone informed about our research and hosting snatches of the stories we capture, be an important part of this archive.”

Volunteer investigators are now going out to record stories of leisure from all ages. Hunting out stories that illuminate the past and shine light on our times. If you would like to find out more about this  project, please get in touch with Joe Stevens on 07784 874112, or email joe@freetimeourstories.org.uk.

The project has been initiated by arts and educational charity digital:works and has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. It sees a wide range of organisations join together, including Thomas Hardye school, AgeUK, POPP,  U3A, Dorset History Centre and Dorset County Museum.
